These technicians acquire skills in installing differing types of pipes for facility and evacuation, hygienic fittings like wash basin, shower, sink, bathroom, urinals victimization waste and attachment.
They are also taught brazing, gas fastening, trade and masonry work associated with plumbing. Other learning areas include repair and maintenance of water pumps, valves, cocks and plumbing fixtures, design and construction of chamber and tank.
Trade Test and Certification:
A) All-India Trade Tests are conducted by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship under the aegis of the National Council for Vocational Training in July and January every year for various examinations.
B) National Trade Certificates are awarded to the successful candidates.
C) National Trade certificate is a recognized qualification for recruitment to relevant posts and services in Central/State Government establishments.

A)Plumber in Government departments/PWD, Hotels, Shopping Mall, Housing Society, Industries etc.
B)Pump Operator, Plumbing Supervisor, and Pipe Fitter in ship industries and oil refineries.
